I never understood why some people want to make their computers as ridiculous to look at as possible — if you care more about the aesthetics than the actual computer, BUY A MAC!

It sucks. All of them. Great designers, but I will never put on of this craps on my room or livingroom, thus I never seen any of this designs to be desirable objects. I am from Buenos Aires, and we use Macintosh Here. Aesthetics has never been so painfull.

Thats what I wanted to say.
    Steve,
    Buenos Aires,

oooo… I like these. Gives me inspiration to try and make own unique system. and yeah, not going to be Hello Kitty. While I admire the work that went into it, that has got to be my least favorite. Too much pink. Love the Zen one though. I can imagine the look on people’s faces when told that is a computer.

    Thanks for posting the pics!

    Steve,
    Macintosh?
Because their design is so inspiring.

It always pains me to see posts depicting imagination, ingenuity and skill, only to have it tarnished by ignorant comments from people who appreciate none of those things. “Buy a MAC”…sheesh. These machines aren’t built solely to be functional, they’re built “just to see if I can” which is why our society has the things it does. If nobody ever put effort into doing something new, we’d all still be living in caves, or more likely, extinct.
Great mods, thanks for sharing them!

The truly hilarious thing about the MAC losers are they profess this fierce individualism by spending more on less. Ohh aesthetics they claim but all they have is a re badged Clevo for 3x the price. Sooooo smart fanboys. Let these people have imagination.

the mods are nice, some I’ve seen before, but one thing that usually annoys me about case mods is that none (of the full conversions, not just crappy paint jobs) are built for easier access, and most fail to adapt a truly different look. They’re all boxes and they look just a bit different. For once I’d like to see a case mod that was shaped like a ball for example and had the ability to remove the RAM in under 10 seconds… now that would be thoughtful case modding…

I’d like to see someone mod a working computer inside a functional fish tank. That’d be something to brag about.

Got something to say?
